Lorenza Villarreal

Partner · Social Security disability and hearings

She learned what a disability claim does to a family at her own kitchen table, long before law school.

Lorenza's father ran a lathe at a machine shop on the South Side until his hands gave out. His Social Security claim took three years and two denials, and she was the one who translated the letters.

She has spent her career on Social Security disability and SSI, most of it in hearings. Clients say she makes the judge's questions feel like a conversation, and she holds hearings in English or Spanish, whichever the client prefers.
